News - New in Intermot Cologne 2015: the Bonneville in triplicate - The Triumph Bonneville in triplicate

Spearhead of the acclaimed Classic range at Triumph, the Bonneville will be available in 2015 in three special editions unveiled in Cologne: the modern Newchurch, the “ old-school ” Spirit and the sporty T214. Presentations.

The Triumph Bonneville in triplicate

No, the Bonneville does not switch to 3-cylinder but gives birth to three "new" models, maintaining an old tradition … "From the appearance of the Triumph Bonneville in 1959, bikers began to personalize it and make it unique", underlines the firm of Hinckley.

On the podiums of the Triumph stand at the Intermot trade fair, three new Bonnevilles evoking three different worlds are enthroned side by side: follow the MNC guide !

Newchurch

The Bonnevillle Newchurch, first of all, is responsible for celebrating the Triumph Tridays festival which takes place every year in Neukirchen (Austria). For a week, the charming and peaceful town is then the meeting point for thousands of fans of the brand..

"Home to the most extravagant customs and the all-terrain drag race known as "Rumble", the town of Neukirchen is renamed Newchurch", explain the English who did not go further to find the name of their special edition.

Available in "Cranberry" red or "Sapphire" blue (both mixed with "Pure" white), this "Goodtown" features "a new low profile seat with black finish, a hand painted tank and proudly sports the new Triumph logo», Underlines the brand.

To distinguish itself from the rest of the Hinckley production and underline its modern side, the Bonneville Newchurch dyes black its front fenders, headlamp casing, handlebars, mirrors and rear shock springs. It naturally retains the spoke rims of the last Bonneville, but painted them black and enhanced them with a red border "hand painted", insist the British.

Spirit

The second limited edition unveiled in Cologne is this time derived from the T100 model. According to Triumph, "the new Bonneville Spirit captures the style and cool attitude of the 50s Bonneville".

To do this, this “Bonnie” pricks its compact and black headlight like the Scrambler, and its short and … blue rear mudguard like the Thruxton – “what did you expect?!” -, since that’s the color chosen by the Hinkley factory for its "new" motorcycle.

"What is obvious at first glance is the unique blue "Spirit" and white "New England" paint that adorns the tank the rear fender", points out Triumph, while"the white stitching adorning the seat cover contrasts with the black "Jet" paint on the sidewall and front fender".

The finest observers will have noted that the handlebars, mirror caps, engine casings, rims – spoked! – and wheel hubs are also given a black finish appreciated by the bad boys of the 50s … and the 10s of the following century !

T214

Finally, Triumph is exhibiting at Intermot a third special edition of the Bonneville: the T214, which, as its name suggests, pays homage to the pilot Johnny Allen who in 1956 established the absolute speed record on board his "Texas Cee-Gar ", timed at 345 km / h … or 214 mph !

Based on the T100 too, the T214 is inspired by the decoration of the famous "Cigar": white Texan star on a blue "Caspian" background on the front mudguard and red and white checkered flag on the sides. The little Triumph is both American and sporty !

Produced in 1000 copies, this third Bonneville has not yet revealed its release date or price in France, any more than the previous two. Site is currently investigating in Cologne: stay tuned !
