S2 Concept unveils a Suzuki Gladius GT

News - S2 Concept unveils a Suzuki Gladius GT - Used SUZUKI

The French company S2 Concept, creator and importer of parts and accessories for the transformation of many motorcycles, took advantage of the 8th JPMS to present an interesting GT version of the Suzuki Gladius. Explanations.

After having charmed lovers of simple but polished preparations with the Spirit 70 (a Suzuki Gladius superbly "Cafe Racerisee", read), S2 Concept once again draws attention to its activities by launching a new Gladius GT 650 !

"Suzuki not having planned an "S" model for the Gladius, even though it has interesting road assets, we decided to work on this GT variation.", explains Philippe Spaeth, former Suzuki dealer and founder in 2000 of the company S2 Concept, which today employs seven people:"to add this semi-fairing on this Gladius GT 650, we notably had to develop another binding so that everything "fits" perfectly and above all keep the maximum of original parts to contain the cost of the whole to 750 euros out of pose".

"To give it more style, we have also added engine protection pads (150 euros), a shoe (299 euros), a wheel lip with an aluminum chain guard (220 euros) and a specific wheel arch with license plate holder (299 euros)", continues the leader.

In addition to the care taken in this preparation, this Gladius GT 650 (like all of S2 Concept’s achievements) is entirely designed and developed by the team: "of course, we also import some parts and accessories, but our job and our passion lie in the design and the realization of more or less advanced preparations in order to meet the demand of dealers: this represents 90% of our activity", rejoices Philippe Spaeth.

Concretely, S2 Concept is launching a project, building the parts and tools necessary for its realization and having everything made in Europe – "for cost issues"-, specifies Philippe, before selling his creations in the form of perfectly compatible kits and easy to install on the original motorcycle.

Correctly made and well integrated into the line of the Suzuki twin-cylinder roadster, this semi-fairing effectively brings an undeniable GT touch to the Gladius, although the contained height of the windshield and the lack of leg protection (not to mention the lack of ‘ABS and the perfectible comfort of the original version) will certainly not transform it into a long-distance road.
