Suzuki to launch new DL 650 V-Strom !

Surprise, surprise: the excellent GSR 750 will not be the only novelty to rejuvenate the Suzuki range this year! The Hamamatsu coat of arms is preparing to launch a new mid-capacity model that Site is invited to come and discover at the end of the month in Croatia….

Surprise, surprise: the excellent will not be the only novelty to rejuvenate the Suzuki range this year! The Hamamatsu coat of arms is thus preparing to launch a new medium-displacement model that Site is invited to come and discover at the end of the month in Croatia….

However, it turns out that this unexpected machine will very probably be the replacement for the, the popular trail-road launched by Suzuki in 2004. The information, first suggested by the distinguished lines on the deliberately blurred photo attached to our invitation card, has indeed just been confirmed by the unveiling of a sketch that (almost) no longer leaves room for doubt !

The latter thus represents a model with undoubtedly typical "trail" lines against a backdrop of mountainous landscapes or dusty paths crossing an immense plain: in short, an invitation to travel, on all types of surfaces. !

Undoubtedly taking again the steel trellis chassis and the V-twin of the ill-loved – itself powered by the 645 cc block revised and corrected from the late SV 650 -, this new V-Strom will allow Suzuki to reposition itself on a segment boosted by the successive arrival of, BMW F800 GS and Triumph Tiger 800 (read in particular our).

It remains to know the performance and especially the price of the novelty Suzuki, a point on which the current DL 650 V-Strom has always stood out favorably: marketed € 6,999, the Suz ‘is indeed much more accessible than the Kawa (€ 7,599) and the Tromph (), not to mention the Behème (€ 10,370)!
