44th Beaujolais Rally: Manoel Delaval ahead of the pack !
Brilliant winner of this 4th round of the 2009 French Rally Championship, Delaval strengthens his lead over Maximus: the Buell XB 12 Central Team driver has left nothing but crumbs to his pursuers by winning most of the specials. !
Col de Saint-Bonnet: Mano makes the powder speak !
This is where Mano Delaval wakes up! He has made his mark and pushes his Buell to its limits in 2’18”177! Some paddock noises speak of Master Sergei’s record in this special in 2’17 and a few, with his R1 in 2007 … But all the same, 2’18 ”, things start to grow quickly !
Second fastest time for Thomas Garcin’s Moto Morini in 2’19”890 while Maxime Olivieri, thoughtful at the start ("I use it or I don’t, gas ?") gets the third fastest time in 2’20”301 (so he must have put in a little!)
Some have had a few scares in this special, such as Herve Laur and Marie Laure Ferrieu on their Choda 1300 GSXR sidecar who honored the few spectators present at this place with a beautiful head to tail figure. !
Herve and Marie Laure will suffer a loss of time of about thirty seconds with this figure, still second sidecar in the provisional championship but now seeing the leading crew of the category, Laurent Guillet and David Chanal on Choda 1000 GSXR.
