Patrick Jacquot, CEO of Mutuelle des Motards and chairman of GEMA Prevention, has been appointed chairman of the "two-wheelers / motorized two-wheelers" commission of the National Road Safety Council (CNSR), this government body made up of elected officials, associations, companies and administrations whose role is to reflect and evaluate the public authorities’ policy in terms of road safety (read in particular).

A strong sign

This appointment follows the will of the president of the CNSR, the deputy (PS) of Bas-Rhin Armand Jung, who decided to create a commission dedicated to the safety of two-wheelers, motorized or not. For the insurer, this is a "strong sign which echoes the actions of the Mutuelle des Motards to have motorized two-wheelers recognized as a fully-fledged mode of transport".

"For the first time, a direct representative of drivers of motorized 2 and 3-wheelers is appointed to head an ad hoc committee", rejoices the Mutuelle des Motards.

Also elected "Personality of the Year" at the 2012 Insurance Trophies, Patrick Jacquot has initiated numerous actions in favor of the defense of motorized two-wheeled drivers. The boss of the Mutual is notably at the origin of the "7 proposals to improve the safety of all road users", a document presented to the deputies in October 2011.

Within the 2-wheeler Commission, he will find France Wolf, coordinator of the National Office of the French Federation of Angry Bikers (FFMC).
