Kawasaki compresses decorum with its new 200 hp Z H2 roadster !
The Akashi brand does not wait for the Milan motorcycle show (Italy) to lift the veil on its spectacular Z H2, a new roadster version of the H2 with a compressed engine! Presentation.
Let’s get straight to the heart of the matter: the Z H2 (and yet not with a certain logic …) claims 200 horsepower and some 137 Nm of torque, which makes it by far the most efficient roadster of the four Japanese manufacturers..

European side on the other hand, this new Kawasaki will find on the road of its "all power" the very elitist Agusta Brutale 1000 Serie Oro (212 hp) and the new Ducati Streetfighter V4 (208 hp). The two Italians also have the advantage of weight, insofar as the Japanese admits all the same 239 kg all full facts…
This fairly generous weight and size places the Z H2 more in the category of roadsters (for) big arms like the late B-King than in that of stripped sports cars like the Aprilia Tuono V4 1100.
But its charm is elsewhere: its 998 cc in-line 4-cylinder incorporates the compressor of the H2 and H2SX, which supercharges the engine in a very muscular way and relaunches them! Modern, this new 2020 motorcycle inherits three driving modes, a color TFT screen with bluetooth link, a regulator and a double-acting shifter.
ABS and traction control informed on the angle by an inertial unit are also part of the game while the trellis frame seems directly taken from the H2 and the swingarm comes from the ZX-10R. The ground connections are neat with Brembo radial calipers, sporty Pirelli tires, a Showa inverted fork and adjustable mono-shock from the same manufacturer..
Design level, this Kawasaki Z H2 more or less harmoniously combines the distinct "Sugomi" style of the current Z1000 with the more enveloping lines of the H2. MNC is curious to see the result in real life at the Milan show, where the price of this 2020 novelty will also be unveiled … In short: stay tuned !
