The (big) twin brother of the Xmax 125
Since 2006, the Yamaha Xmax has been the undisputed king of 125 cc scooters in France. It even wins each year the title of best selling two-wheeler in France, all displacements combined: last year alone, more than 10,000 copies of the Yamaha scooter escaped in our cities. !
The success of the 250 is less phenomenal: in ten months this year, 743 "two and a half" were registered in France against 7340 for the version accessible to B licenses … But for Yamaha, this 250 version is of great importance: "in Italy, where motorists can drive 250 cc, the sales volumes of this displacement are much greater than in France", reminds us Alexandre Kowalski, communications director at Yamaha Motor France, but"that said, we have customers who swear by the 250 cc". Certainly motorcyclists – since the A license is required to drive them – who find in the" two and a half "the ideal compromise between a light but sluggish 125 cc and the 400, 500, or even more if similar, certainly more powerful but also more bulky…
