Suzuki France is launching the "Gladius Trophy" within the Twin Cup 2012. Organized by Motors Events during the Week End Racing Cup (read), the Twin Cup is a championship between twin cylinders from 500 to 700 cc maximum. And for Suzuki, the SVF Gladius is obviously the perfect bike to win the 2012 edition. !

Suzuki Gladius at a glance

Launched in 2009 to succeed the popular SV650, the Suzuki Gladius is a small roadster powered by a 645 cc V-twin developing 72 hp and 64 Nm of torque (read our). Penalized by its "plastoc" finish, the Suzuki Gladius struggles to seduce French bikers who far prefer the Yamaha XJ6 or the Kawasaki ER-6n: in 2011, only 1,253 Gladius found a buyer in the network against 3,982 XJ6 and 3,752 ER -6 (read in particular our). With the Gladius Trophy, Suzuki France therefore hopes to reverse this trend and "(re!) Demonstrate the dynamic qualities of this excellent machine".

Drivers wishing to participate in the Gladius Trophy will benefit from payment facilities when purchasing their Gladius, currently displayed at € 6,399 (excluding specials) in the .

"Endowments" and "special conditions" will also be granted on the equipment of the four compulsory partners: Dunlop (GP211 tires), ABM (avia hoses), Scorpion (helmet) and S2 Concept (engine guard, triple clamp and rear shell ).

In addition, the same type of advantages will be offered by the six other "recommended partners" by Suzuki France: EMC (Sportshock3 shock absorber), Pro-Tec + (Kevlar carbon crankcase protection), Beringer (radial master cylinder), Leovince ( exhaust line and Fast housing), Valter Moto (rear controls) and AFAM (chain).

Provided he finishes on the podium of the Twin Cup 2012, the winner of the Gladius Trophy 2012 will be offered a Suzuki GSR 750 with which he can participate in the Coupe de France Roadster Cup 2013 !
