Motorcycle tire for customs Metzeler ME888 Marathon Ultra

Fans of custom bikes, bobber, chopper, touring and other more or less shiny V-twins now have at their disposal a new reference in the Metzeler custom tire range: the ME 888 Marathon Ultra, replacing the ME 880 Marathon.

Announced more enduring thanks to the use of wider plies on the carcass, this motorcycle tire nicknamed "Triple 8" in the United States – where Metzeler officially presented it at the beginning of the year – releases new polymers and new resins which improve on the one hand its general qualities, on the other its versatility and in particular its ability to retain grip on wet roads.

The improvement of these capacities in the rain also goes through the new design of its tread: its ground contact zone is thus "5%" shorter but "15%" wider than that of its predecessor, a characteristic which has a positive impact on its behavior on wet ground, its stability and its endurance.

One of the main areas of work for the tire manufacturer belonging to the Pirelli group also focused on the durability of performance, a very important aspect at Metzeler regardless of the type and use of the tire. In short: the ME 888 Marathon is designed to deliver almost the same level of performance when worn as when it comes out of the mold….

The tire for custom ME888 Marathon Ultra is available in the dimensions below at the indicative price of "280 € TTC per train", estimates Metzeler France interviewed by Site.
