"Sylvain’s recovery is longer than expected", regrets the official Pata Yamaha team, "but he is recovering well at home in the hope of returning to play the 8th round of the championship in Misano". The French rider, however, hopes to be able to go and support his team at Donington Park next week and resume the handlebars for the Misano event on June 17..
"Unfortunately, my recovery will take a little longer than expected, but the goal is to be ready for Misano", explains Sylvain after his huge fall. "They put screws in my ankle – it’s a shame, because I haven’t been wearing metal for a while! – but the operation went perfectly well. Now it’s just one. question of recovery and training to regain 100% of my form ".
His teammate Alex Lowes, too (broken collarbone), should however line up at the start of Donington, supported for the occasion by Yamaha USA rider Cameron Beaubier. To be continued on MNC: stay connected !
