Chaz Davies, 1st

“Achieving the double here, on a circuit where we struggled last year, is another sign that shows we have made a difference. For the first half of the race, I just managed the lead . But with the interruption it became a very short sprint race. It was hard to see the signage and I wasn’t looking at the giant screens so I didn’t really know how to handle the race. saw Rea coming back, I attacked a bit more in the last laps and did all I could to get the win ".

“It’s a little frustrating because it wasn’t enough to secure second place in the championship, but I expected it. We have been the fastest since the summer break and we will try to keep improving the next year. We will try to be as consistent as possible to get the big trophy at the end … Thanks everyone for the support! "

Tom Sykes, 2nd

“To finish runner-up sounds better than third, and Kawasaki gets a double in the drivers’ championship this year. The weekend was odd in some ways. In the second round I was preparing for a longer race, but ultimately the red flag. interrupted her. I think our pace at the end could also have been very good over 17 laps ".

“To do a few laps in 1 ’57 after the second start was something unexpected. Jonathan passed me and then he got back on Chaz, but when he saw Chaz’s lap times he felt he should have done something really special to win. Jonathan had two great seasons, he was the man to beat. It was a very nice gesture from the other side of the box (Rea let him finish second, Editor’s note), it’s something that I really appreciate a lot ".

Jonathan Rea, 3rd

“I was trying to get back on Chaz during the first part. The bike looked good at the start of the race but when I got into the first corner I couldn’t change gears due to a faulty sensor. so pulled straight and I lost places so the red flag saved me. The team changed the part very quickly for the second start and we made some progress. Today I rode with my heart, as I could ".

“To start ninth for a ten-lap race was not a good combination! I got pushed around in the first two corners and stayed too long behind Leon Haslam and Tom. Chaz was a bit ahead of me, but I came back all the same. When I realized that I could not win, I decided to work for the team and Kawasaki (by letting Sykes pass in front of him, Editor’s note). We had a very, very fast. Lap record, pole position and world championship: Qatar succeeded me this weekend! "

Sylvain Guintoli, 4th

"This red flag is really unfortunate, for sure … Especially since today we had a very good pace on worn tires, but we lacked some on new tires. The first part of the race was perfect for me. : I got off to a very good start and didn’t get too far behind in the first few laps. I managed to hang on and when the red flag came out, it had been two or three laps that I had recovered on Tom and I was moving a lot away from fourth place. I felt that was very good for me. "…

(Sylvain Guintoli, continued)
“After the second start I tried to fight as much as possible, but our pace with the new tires was just not good enough. It’s a shame because without the red flag it was the podium. all the same, we finished the season with better performances and I feel able to fight again ".

Leon Haslam, 5th

"It was a very nice final for me, very difficult because we had a lot to understand and we had some problems at the start of the weekend, but we managed to make very big progress compared to the first run. It was fantastic to pass the checkered flag in 5th position, starting from 16th position on the grid! I’m really happy, it’s the best result we could have. ".

Jordi Torres, 6th

"Today’s race went pretty well. It’s just a shame that I missed my two starts. After the second one, someone bumped into me and I lost ground. But I quickly got back into the rhythm and gradually gained places, attacking 100% to finish sixth, so I had a nice comeback and I’m happy with the way we ended the season: sixth in the race but also sixth in the championship ".
