Jonathan Rea Videos: Who Really Is The 2015 WSBK Champion ?

After having battled for many years on the Honda Fireblade, Jonathan Rea had an exceptional first season on the Kawasaki Ninja. Site relays two series of videos (in english …) to get to know the 2015 WSBK champion better.

The Top 5 of the 2015 SBK World Champion

A second series of three videos allows you to learn more and more about the 2015 World Superbike champion. These interviews are published on the YouTube channel of Jonathan Rea’s sponsor: Carole Nash, motorcycle insurance specialist across the Channel ( they are therefore in English).

In the first video (page 4), Johnny delivers his Top 5 greatest motorcycle riders:

1. Kevin Schwantz: a great friend who, like Johnny, had to fight on a less efficient motorcycle and despite injuries. His helmet sits on the kitchen shelf !

2. Jeremy McGrath: his idol as an MX rider, "the guy" he watched every weekend on television

3. Joey Dunlop: another champion from Northern Ireland, legendary TT rider but above all a great man

4. Carl Fogarty: excellent road rider, he paved the way for British riders in Superbike and won four titles !

5. Valentino Rossi: considered by many to be the best driver of all time, winner in all GP categories

In the second video (still on page 4), the 2015 WSBK champion establishes his Top 5 in terms of motorcycles:

1. ZX-10R: unsurprisingly his favorite bike, the best on the field today according to him

2. KX450F: the best way to get away from it all and feel free. A jerrycan of gasoline, a few sandwiches, a bunch of friends and let’s go !

3. RC211V 2012: a real racing bike that he would have liked to discover in more detail and ride longer…

4. CBR1000RR of 2012: that of endurance, which he easily led to victory at the

5. KX 60 from 1997: motorcycle prepared by his father, with which he became champion of Great Britain. His only major title before that of 2015 !

Finally, in the third video, Mister Rea looks back on the five best moments of his 2015 season:

1. : he had never been on the podium and the Kawasaki had not won for a long time. The win in the first leg set him free !

2. : winning the title had become a formality, but it was not so easy…

3. : too confident in Superpole, the ruthless JR falls and hurts his left wrist. Despite everything, it won the next day, in the wet then in the dry

4. : sick as a dog at the beginning of the weekend, the n ° 65 still signed the double…

5. : Johnny could win the title but had to start from the third row because of a false neutral in Superpole. He wins the first race but loses in the last corner of the second…
