Motorcycle used review: Kawasaki Z750
Since its release at the end of 2003, the Kawasaki Z750 has been the competition’s nightmare: unbeatably at the top of French sales, it also boasts impeccable reliability. With a few checks, the Zed is a bargain ! Used balance sheet.
A justified best seller
At the end of 2003, Kawasaki released what was to become in 2005 the queen of motorcycle sales in France: the Z750. Little sister of the Z1000, it immediately combines three major advantages: a seductive face, a displacement greater than other "mid-size" roadsters with a capacity of 600 cc and a low price (read our).
Kawasaki thus brought to the roadster market what Suzuki, in particular, continues to do in sports cars: a displacement without real competition. The additional torque and pleasure at half speed changes everything: where you have to climb to the top of the tachometer on the Hornets and other Fazers (or FZ-6 since), not to mention the Bandit which gives it back about twenty horses, the "Zed" evolves with more flexibility.

The recipe is so good that Kawasaki has modified its Z only once: a big "cosmetic" evolution in 2007, the engine contenting itself with a few alterations aimed at improving – again! – mid regimes.
Note all the same the existence of a semi-faired version "S" (2005 and 2006) whose sales remained confidential compared to the "naked", and the arrival in 2011 of the version "R", declination more sharpened from the basic model.
Apart from a few minor issues, most of which have been taken as collateral by the network, the Z750 enjoys excellent reliability. It’s even better since 2007 and the new version. The points to check are much more related to the use made of the motorcycle (stunt in particular)…
Be careful, however, with overpriced motorcycles: the Z800 is coming (read our MNC test of the new Kawasaki Z800 to follow during the day) and will, as it should, lead to a fall in the prices of the last Z "seven and a half", the dealers taking care to destock to make room for the news (read)! In turn, the price of second-hand cars is falling at the end of 2012: be careful not to buy too expensive !
