Top 10 in the Enduro / Supermoto category

The jury of the MOTORRAD readers’ choice 2020 consisted of 45,178 readers. And so you have chosen the composition of the top 10 in the enduro / supermoto category.

L.eserwahl participants and buyers agree: the BMW R 1250 GS is in first place among the enduro / supermoto. According to new registration statistics for 2019, there were 9,417 units across Germany. If we look at the registration statistics from 2019 to 2015 again, we see that the big GS has not been that close to the limit of 10,000 new registrations in the last five years. To put it into perspective: the second-placed Yamaha MT-07 has 3,707 newly registered copies.

But the BMW R 1250 GS did not win so overwhelmingly in the MOTORRAD readers’ poll. She got 21.7 percent of the vote. 9.8 percentage points lie between it and the Honda CRF 1100 L Africa Twin, which received a total of 11.9 percent of the readers’ votes. In the previous year there was an even more pronounced 15.4 percent in between. And in 2018 the Honda CRF 1000L Africa Twin (16 percent approval) even landed ahead of the BMW R 1200 GS (11.6 percent approval).

Tenere displaces Moto Guzzi V85 TT

Back to the current Top 10 in the Enduro / Supermoto 2020 category. The Yamaha Tenere 700 came in third with 10.2 percent approval. Last year it was in seventh place. Fourth place this year goes to the Moto Guzzi V85 TT Enduro, which recently won bronze, but will now have to make way for the new Tenere in 2020.

Fifth place went to the Ducati Multistrada 1260 Enduro (5.9 percent approval), followed by the KTM 1290 Super Adventure (5.8 percent approval) and KTM 790 Adventure (4.3 percent approval). New in the top 10: the BMW R nineT Urban G / S (3.7 percent approval) and the KTM 690 SMC R (3.5 percent approval). Interesting: The KTM Supermoto was one of the three best-selling KTMs in Germany in 2019 – ahead of the 1290 Super Adventure and the 790 Adventure.

The Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled climbed tenth place with 3.4 percent of the readers’ votes. In 2019 it landed in ninth place with 3.8 percent.
