New in 2019: Kawasaki unveils its new Ninja H2 / Carbon
The Ninja H2 "short" – and Carbon – takes advantage of technological advances made on the road version H2 SX SE to become more powerful (231 hp!) And less polluting in 2019. The supercharged sports car from Kawasaki benefits from other small evolutions… Presentation.
Until now, Kawasaki offered four versions of its damn inflated machine – in these times of road repression -: the original H2R which spits 310 horsepower (on the circuit only), the road sportswoman Ninja H2 and its Carbon version (200 hp ), as well as the sporty road SX SE (200 hp also).
In 2019, the Ninja H2 "short" and Carbon will see their maximum power increase by 31 hp, just to set the record straight for the SX … Akashi’s Greens took advantage of Bonneville (USA) to present their first novelty…

- Comparo MNC 600 hp :
The Ninja H2 remains to this day "the only motorcycle on the market to be equipped with a compressor", rightly reminds Kawasaki which is also the only manufacturer to offer so many motorcycles of "200 hp and more" to its customers: Ninja H2R, Ninja H2 / Carbon, Ninja H2 SX SE, ZZR1400, ZX-10R / R !
"Although a pioneer in the use of Supercharger technology, Kawasaki is aware that power is not everything", however weight the Japanese, "and for 2019 many features have been reworked such as fuel consumption, contained despite the power increase ".
To achieve 231 horsepower and 133.5 newton-meters (+8.2 Nm Vs 2017) while respecting the Euro4 standard, Akashi engineers have mounted on their sports "many parts from the Ninja H2 SX": the air filter, the intake chamber, the spark plugs and the ECU, mainly.
The new “Greens” Ninja doesn’t just recycle, it also innovates by sporting a new “Supercharged” emblem, fitting new “high performance” Bridgestone RS11 tires and equipping itself with the very latest Brembo front brake calipers ” Stylema ": yes, the same as on the Panigale V4 S !
Ninja H2 2019: 231 hp for (forever) 238 kg
"Very stiff, the Stylemas have increased the cooling capacity of the pads and provide better power and better progressiveness," Kawasaki guarantees … on account? The amount of the latter is unknown to date (for information, the 2017 model of the Ninja H2 is displayed at 26,000 euros on the Kawasaki France site).
Equally revolutionary is the "Noir Mirror Coated Spark" paint: "very resistant, under room temperature conditions, (it) can" self-cover "minor scratches and scuffs in an incredibly short period of time." You did not understand everything, like MNC? Kawasaki explains…
“Developed in-house by Kawasaki, the time between the appearance of a slight scratch and the ‘healing’ is incredibly fast, very different from similar automotive systems which can take a few weeks to completely ‘heal’ the body. , cut in passing the Japanese…
Finally, the new Ninja H2 – still available in Carbon finish – does not content itself with stealing its TFT color counter from the Ninja H2 SX SE: it completes it with a Bluetooth connection allowing the use of Kawasaki’s new "Rideology" application..
“Once paired, the smartphone can display a number of items, including motorcycle information such as fuel level, battery status, and vehicle maintenance intervals …” as well as the Vmax and the number of points remaining on the license? MNC will try to find out during his test…
