As announced this winter (read), Peugeot Motocycles is preparing to market its new electric scooter E-Vivacity, whose first deliveries to professionals will take place in December and sale to the general public in March 2011.
Presented today at the Paris Motor Show (stand n ° 421, Hall 1), the Peugeot E-Vivacity electric scooter is intended for urban clients as well as institutional users, with a range of 60 kilometers and a maximum speed of 45 km / h.
Advertised with a charge time of 5 hours for 100% and 3 hours for 80%, it can also be boosted with an optional charger which reduces the charging time to 80% to 2 hours.
Sold for 3600 euros, "E-Vivacity is incredibly economical since 100 km traveled will cost only 0.4 € to its user, or about ten times less than for a thermal engine", assures Peugeot Scooters.
The French manufacturer is also continuing to work on its E-Satelis, a more opulent electric scooter equipped with four lithium-ion battery packs delivering a power of 4 kWh with an advertised range of 100 km "in normal driving conditions" and " Top speed voluntarily limited to 90 km / h ", indicates Peugeot.
The E-Satelis should have three operating modes to be selected according to its needs: an "Eco" mode to preserve battery life, a "Sport" mode offering better performance thanks to an energy recovery system. when braking, and a "Reverse" mode for low-speed maneuvers.
