The wireless, smartphone-based engine tuning system is an absolute world first in a production motorcycle. The Yamaha Power Tuner app should make it easy to select the exact performance profile for optimal racing results on every racetrack.

The communication control unit (CCU) provides a wireless connection between the motorcycle and the smartphone, via which the fuel / air mixture and the ignition timing map can be set and the engine output adjusted. In addition, it can be used to record race log information and monitor a range of data such as coolant temperature, intake air temperature, air pressure, battery state of charge and also maintenance-related data such as total operating time and more.
