Hollaradullioh – the bike is calling

Anyone who was socialized in the southern part of Germany in the 1980s could hardly ignore Wolfgang Ambros ’musical epic about Mount Watzmann. This is only to explain the slogan, because it is precisely this Hollarodullioh that shot through the mind of the author of these lines when he cocked the tap for the first time with the Triumph Rocket III, modified by the Bremen PS whisperer Ulf Penner.

Hollarodullioh, there’s a lot going on. But what? An attempt to explain: If you fully accelerate a modern 1000 super sports car, you get an idea of how a golf ball feels when you tee it off. At this triumph R.It is similar to ocket III, but very different. The weight of around 370 kilograms alone and the sitting position, which is quite contrary to a super sports car, turn the impression on its head. You have the feeling of being shot down by a huge catapult, although the pure measured values speak a different, very impressive language.

Hollaradullioh – the bike is calling

In the last aisle, the iron heap pulls the bread roll!

But the pulling power is really impressive. It’s again called Rocket against R1: 60–100 km / h (3.2 to 3.5 seconds), 100–140 km / h (3.3 to 3.7 seconds) and 140–180 km / h (3, 5 to 3.9 sec). In the last aisle, the iron heap pulls the bread roll! Madness. This also rubs off on the driving experience: You sit behind this mountain of tanks and hold on to the fat handlebars. Then you step on the gas. And then bang! Where there was just the horizon, there you are now! Crazy! And this fun is available for almost nine liters of Super Plus.

And without a roar. This motorcycle is a very good example that sound and noise are two things that have nothing to do with each other. Because from the two Akrapovic slip-ons, which originally hung on a 990 KTM, there is a very cool, bass-heavy and typical three-cylinder sound, but it is subtle enough that nocturnal health resorts can be passed through without any problems. In addition to stability, TÜV compatibility was also the specification of the owner of the Triumph Rocket III. This is not a problem at all, says Ulf Penner, because the list of modifications is short (see "Modifications at a glance"). Basically he just unthrottled the engine, the potential of the triple is good for far more than 200 hp.

And then bang! Hollarodullioh!

The fact that the chassis can easily cope with the significant additional power is very reassuring. This block of bike cannot and does not want to be a handling miracle, but on well-developed country roads with wide arches and reasonably flat surfaces, the Triumph Rocket III is a force that has to be conquered first.

On the other ways, you can enjoy the sovereignty of the crowd, enjoy life and prepare mentally for the next straight, because it is sure to come. And then bang! Hollarodullioh!
