Presentation: Superbike for everyone
The Noble Factory version has aroused the Superbike RSV4 of Aprilia enormous desirability among superbike fans.
Now the basic version with name RSV4 R is done, which differs substantially only chassis side from the noble first product. Instead of the finest Ohlins goods as on the "Factory" products were installed by Showa and Sachs. This succeeded in reducing the price of more than 20,000 euros to 15 500 euros. A fair offer, because with this price, their very good performance and the prospect that already in 2011 a racetrack-compatible ABS has to be obtained, the nominell 132 kW / 180 hp has strong RSV4 R a very promising starting point for the future.
Small V4 with lots of power and sound
The very compact V4 engine is identical to that of the factory version: all all purity, from the ride-by-wire system to the antihopping clutch. Of course, 180 hp from just under 1000 CCM displacement are a proud specification. Subjectively, in the short presentation on the Ferrari-own racetrack of Mugello, the R release felt good at forces.
Plea shades at the presentation
Unfortunately, the Aprilia "extra for the media built 30 motorcycles" as not very durable: after the first morning of the events used on three days, the event had to be stopped for security reasons because of five engines connecting rods. "Supplier Error" it was called by Aprilia. Actually, it was assumed to sit on a serial bike – especially because the engine is known.
Convincing are both the fully adjustable Showa fork like the also completely adjustable Sachs-Central Spring. Meanwhile, it remains questionable whether the minimum weight savings are worth by the forged light metal wheels as well as the pair of carbon parts and the racing paint actually worth 5,000 euros surcharge.

Entry at Moto-GP
In the concert of the Superbikes, in which in Germany currently indicates Honda Fireblade with Race-ABS the sound, the RSV4 R is in any case under no circumstances inferior. This also applies even though their true weight is currently unknown, which lies according to the manufacturer without battery and operating materials at 184 kilograms. The RSV4 R is likely to have a particularly good stand, if the ABS development, to which after the Honda push and the following BMW activities following BMW activities, should be forced all manufacturers to be completed for 2011. In addition, it could also benefit from the entry-level Aprilias in the MotoGP class, which was decided after internal statements of the consolidated chairman, but not yet terminated.
Overall, the RSV4 R is not least a fascinating superbike because of its beguiling V4 sounds. Aprilia wished to be able to compensate for the failed start soon. The Italian should be available this year, the first units are already on German roads.
Technical data Aprilia RSV4 R:
Superbike with V4 engine,
132 kW / 180 hp power at 12 500 rpm,
Weight without battery and supplies: 184 kilograms, six-speed circuit;

Please read exactly: Aprilia is in the SBK and thinks about an entry into the MotoGP. … And otherwise: Who does not like it, can also drive small motorized motorcycles. Live and let live. And always enough grip…..
MotoGP ?
Do not drive in the SBK ?In the MotoGP I have not seen Aprilia !
180 hp
One of the reasons why I hung the motorcycling to the nail is the absurd and completely sensitive overmotorization of today’s motorcycles. On my last exits with Ducati 748 (98PS) I had the impression that only life trust is traveling with these PS monsters.
Senior commentary
We can all transfer to tree trollers who drive only 45 and that should be enough to come from A to B. Let us run all motorized vehicles and run more that is good for the environment and there are no traffic times more.
