Driving report: between supermoto and street sweeper
SMV 750 Dorsoduro Factory
With a clever modular system and fine new components Aprilia turns its 750 supermoto into a top street sweeper.
Smallest asphalt meanders cut wildly through the rock somewhere in the French pre-Alps. As if made for the Aprilia Dorsuduro Factory. Compared to the standard version, it shines with better spring elements, a new seat and various carbon parts. The front fender, ignition lock cover and radiator trim are made of lightweight carbon fiber.
Bend, straighten, intermediate sprint. Makes a lot of fun to romp through this area. The 750 gratefully accepts course corrections, for example when the tightest bends close or the radius is misjudged. However, as is typical for super-motor bikes, the Aprilia tends to drive outside when exiting a curve. The Dunlop Qualifier on a wide six-inch rim gently rubs down to the edge of the tire.
