Kawasaki Z 900 with 95 hp

Can be throttled to 48 hp for an A2 driving license

Kawasaki is providing its Naked Bike Z 900 with a variant that has been homologated with 70 kW / 95 PS rated power. A2 license holders are allowed to drive it after it has been throttled to 48 hp.

Motorcycles throttled to 35 kW / 48 PS for holders of the A2 driving license may in their open version produce a maximum of 70 kW / 95 PS. The popular Kawasaki Z 900, however, develops 125 hp at 9,500 rpm and is therefore out of reach for the A2 driver’s license.

But Kawasaki itself provides a remedy: A variant of the Kawasaki Z 900 has now been homologated with 70 kW / 95 PS – especially for the purpose of reducing it further to 48 PS and being able to legally drive with the A2 driver’s license.

The importer asserts that the open Kawasaki Z 900 with its intuitive driving behavior is easy to master by inexperienced pilots – but the law is the law. That is why Kawasaki is offering the Z 900 in the aforementioned new homologation with 95 hp at 8,500 rpm. Its maximum torque is 91 Nm at 6,500 / min (open: 99 Nm at 7,700 / min).

Apart from the engine tuning, the two variants of the Kawasaki Z 900 are completely identical; this applies to the available colors (2018: Pearl Mystic Gray / Metallic Flat Spark Black, Candy Lime Green / Metallic Spark Black and Flat Ebony / Metallic Spark Black) and the list price of 9,095 euros. The "electronic power conversion", so the throttling to 35 kW / 48 PS may be calculated separately by the dealer.
