1200 V4 with 200 hp

The British high-tech racer with a brand new 200 hp V4 engine is due to go into series production in 2017. The two versions Norton V4-RR and Norton V4-SS are planned.

Norton – the name is big, but the quantities produced by the British manufacturer of the current Commando 961 (since 2011) are tiny. The models now unveiled in Birmingham will also be part of it NOrton V4-SS and Norton V4-RR do not change anything. However, the first V4 super sports cars from purely British production are impressive. The 16-valve dohc engine is an in-house development with a 72 degree cylinder angle, is said to have over 200 hp and a maximum torque of 130 Nm.

All the assistance systems that are good and expensive are on board, plus a blipper switch and a cockpit with a TFT touchscreen display including a rear camera instead of mirrors. The first 250 of the Norton V4-RR with cast aluminum frame are to be built in 2017 (price: 33,000 euros). The Norton V4-SS with its handmade aluminum frame is said to cost another 20,000 euros more.
