Rieju Nuuk 2019
Electric scooter in three versions
The Spanish two-wheeler manufacturer Rieju has expanded its range of electrical products around the Nuuk e-scooter. The Nuuk is now available in three versions and different speed variants.
Introduced in 2017 R.ieju Nuuk is a robust looking electric scooter for urban traffic. For the 2019 model year, the Spaniards have made the Nuuk even more versatile with new options and variants.
3 versions from the kit
The Rieju Nuuk will be available in the future as Urban, Tracker and Cargo. The differentiation is made only through a few add-on parts. The Urban forms the basis. This becomes a tracker with larger tires. In the cargo variant, which is specifically aimed at delivery services, a large transport box replaces the otherwise foldable pillion seat.
Common to all versions is the external tubular steel frame, the steel rear wheel swing arm supported by a mono spring strut, the 41 mm upside-down fork and disc brakes (280 mm at the front, 220 mm at the rear) on both 17-inch cast wheels. In addition to speed and range, the digital cockpit also shows the battery charge level, the driving mode and other vehicle data.
Bosch electric motor
The electric drive train was developed together with Bosch. Depending on the version, the electric motor that sits on the front swing arm provides 4 or 10.8 kW. There should be a torque of 200 or 245 Nm on the wheel. The power is transmitted via CVT transmission and chain. In the basic version, the maximum speed is 45 km / h, the motorcycle version can run up to 110 km / h. An 80 km / h variant is also available.
The energy is provided by removable lithium-ion batteries, which lie dormant in fold-out compartments in the belly of the Nuuk. There is space for a total of two batteries. The motorcycle variant can travel up to 80 kilometers with both batteries. The more economical moped can travel around 110 kilometers with a battery; with a second cell on board, up to 280 kilometers should be possible. Depending on the charging current, the charging time should be between 5 and 1.2 hours. Depending on the battery configuration, the Nuuk weighs 125 or 140 kilograms.
The Nuuk is available from the German importer from around 8,000 euros.
