EICMA 2016: Ducati Scrambler Cafe Racer and Desert Sled planned for Milan
Ducati is expanding its Scrambler family with two new models: the Cafe Racer and Desert Sled, very partially revealed in appetizer videos. These 2017 novelties will be presented at the EICMA motorcycle show in Milan (Italy), from November 8 to 13.
After revealing its new Sport-GT in Cologne (Germany), the pretty and reasonably accessible (€ 13,190), Ducati is focusing on its national meeting: the EICMA in Milan, scheduled for early November. As every year during this Milan "great mass", several new features will be to be discovered on the stand of the local manufacturer: la, la and are expected there in particular. Other new models will also be in the game: the Cafe Racer and Desert Sled, new variations of the revealed through teasing videos…
Finally, "revealed", so to speak … A lot of things are indeed visible in these super short films: a parrot (!), A person dressed as a gorilla (!!), girls in swimsuits near a swimming pool ( !!!) and, fleetingly, a motorcycle coming out of a garage and another going into the desert! In short, impossible to establish reliable elements on these novelties, except that they will be oriented respectively towards the Cafe Racer and all-terrain styles. But to what extent ? Will they be versions a little "fleshed out" with some peripherals or real new motorcycles, equipped with a specific chassis in accordance with their genre? ?
Still, these Scrambler Cafe Racer and Desert Sled will a priori be powered by the 75 hp air-cooled 803cc Desmodue currently installed on the six (yes, 6!) Versions of Scrambler (, Urban Enduro, Classic, Flat Track Pro and). Remember that the Scrambler is also available in average displacement since this year, the Sixty2, led by a 400cc twin developing 41 hp. When it was launched in 2015, Ducati announced that the Scrambler would become a family in its own right, a mark within the brand in a way: the least we can do is that the Italian manufacturer gives itself the means. !
