Marquez and Bradl goals for the 2019 MotoGP German GP
Marc Marquez enters the German GP with the arch-favorite label as the championship leader has six poles converted into as many victories at the Sachsenring since his arrival in MotoGP at Honda in 2013 ! The Spaniard will exceptionally team up with local driver Stefan Brald, who replaces Jorge Lorenzo.
"This is the first series of races in two weekends, and I like it. We had a good weekend in Assen and I am motivated because we are now on one of my favorite circuits", rejoices Marc Marquez, solid leader of the championship with 44 points ahead of Dovizioso and 52 over Petrucci.

“However, past results don’t necessarily mean much. Everyone says I’m the favorite, but this sport is unpredictable: everyone said the same thing in Austin and I crashed!” Said cautiously claim the No.93, who tripped up as he raced solo to a seventh straight win in Texas.
"On Friday, we must therefore continue to work hard with the team to stay ahead. Then we will just start to think of the weekend as every race", programs the native of Cervera, whose working method is now well oiled….
Calmer and more thoughtful (although!), Marquez now takes the time to identify his potential during the first tests and observe that of his rivals. If he is a little less comfortable and his opponents are on the contrary very pressing, the Spaniard opts for a defensive strategy.
This is exactly what he did last Sunday in the Netherlands, "content" with the podium without trying to attack at all costs the winner Maverick Viñales. A smart way to limit risks and score big points, especially against Yamaha riders who are not dangerous in the championship !
Lorenzo replaced by Bradl at the Sachsenring
Following the heavy injuries contracted by Jorge Lorenzo during the first practice session of the Dutch GP, the HRC logically aligns its test rider Stefan Bradl on the Mallorcan’s bike. Replacement all the more indicated as it is the national race of n ° 6 !
"I’m happy to join the Repsol Honda team in Germany. It’s a special race for me at home," said Bradl, who has already participated in the Spanish GP this year as a wild card (10th) and also has two Top 5 in the Sachsenring when he drove the Honda-LCR in 2012 (5th) and 2013 (4th).
The German had also participated in the race last year in which was injured. The n ° 6 had finished in a distant 16th place on the RC213V of the Marc VDS team.
"I am obviously very sorry for Lorenzo and I wish him the best possible recovery and a great return. I am happy to be able to help the team: let’s see what this weekend will bring us. We work well with Honda and I follow them. grateful for this opportunity ", adds Stefan Bradl.
As for Jorge Lorenzo, his return is scheduled after the summer break for the Czech Republic GP on August 4. The Mallorcan was forced to wear a corset following his heavy fall in Assen from which he recovered with two fractured thoracic vertebrae. The n ° 99 is currently 15th in the provisional with 19 points.
The first MotoGP free practice session of the 2019 German GP will start on Friday from 9:55 a.m..
