Won this year by Baptiste Guittet, the "new generation" Kawa Cup is renewed for 2007 with the same objective: to allow as many people as possible to practice motorcycle sport at a lower cost. Future Randy, OJ or Laconi, get ready !

The Kawasaki Moto Revue Cup sets out again for 2007 with the same objective: "allow as many people as possible to practice motorcycle sport at the lowest cost".

Armed with Kawasaki ER-6n (the streamlined f versions are not admitted), the young French wolves will be able to participate in eight races which will take place as in 2006 on the sidelines of the Promosport. But the "senior" and the "young wolves" are not left out !

The Cup indeed offers four classifications: scratch, rookie, senior and female. It will also reward deserving drivers with two point bonuses: 5 points for pole position and 5 points for the lap record..

The 2007 regulations are still under development, but Kawasaki is already allowing its future riders to plan their 2007 season, the final of which will take place "in the prestigious setting of the Bol d’Or at Magny-Cours".

2007 Kawa Cup calendar:

  • 1. 03/31 – 04/01: Ledenon
  • 2. 05/26 – 05/27: Carole
  • 3. 09/06 – 10/06: Croix en Ternois
  • 4. 06/30 – 07/01: Pau Arnos
  • 5. 07/21 – 07/22: Le Mans
  • 6. 25/08 – 26/08: Nogaro
  • 7. 09/01 – 09/02: Ledenon
  • 8. 09/15 – 09/16: Magny-Cours (Bol d’Or)

Note that next year, "the rolling time will be increased and everyone will have the opportunity to play either the Final or the Consolante.

Registration fees this year amount to € 320, to which must be added a registration fee per race of € 170. Or € 1,680 for the full season, during which "the amount of bonuses for a young pilot can be up to € 17,000", recalls the manufacturer.

In order to best prepare for the new season, Kawasaki is also offering a "Kawasaki Cup course"on the Ledenon circuit:

02/28: Administrative and theoretical part
03/01: Free Kawasaki Cup course
02/03: Paid driving day organized by sessions

Following the opposite example of his MotoGP team, the organization of the Cup is changing: "Patrick Maccio becomes responsible for administrative and technical management for 2007. He will be the sole point of contact for all information relating to the organization of the Kawasaki Cup.", warns Kawasaki Motors France.

Organizer of the K Days, the Maccio Racing team will also organize training courses during the season for the attention of the Cup competitors "to allow them to improve and have fun". For any additional information: 04.94.60.94.28 or
