Suzuki itself is currently keeping its feet still with its sporty top model, which is why various national companies and importers are mobilizing. Great Britain and France have just presented spectacular special models, and Suzuki Italy will follow suit at EICMA. There will GSX-R 1000 R Ryuyo presented.

Lots of racing components

There should only be 20 copies of the extremely finely constructed special model. The base price of 29,990 euros can also be considered selective. In return, however, there is an extremely potent, extremely light and with a lot of MotoGP know-how built 1000, which derives its name from the Suzuki test track near Hamamatsu.

A lot of fine racing goods were installed on the Ryuyo.

In order to work off several pounds from the GSX-R, all trim parts, the airbox, the seat hump and the fenders were made from carbon fiber laminate. The racing exhaust system is based on titanium and comes from Yoshimura. The digital dashboard, the simplified wiring harness and the new engine control unit also come from the noble tuner. Around this, the Italians grouped, among other things, milled hand levers with guards, an adjustable Brembo 19RCS radial brake pump, racing brake pads, reinforced brake lines, an adjustable footrest system, various engine protection elements, a racing windshield and a neoprene seat pad.

Also on board are Ergal steering stubs, a 520 chain, a pit lane speed limiter, a short-stroke throttle and much more. The Showa Big Piston fork has been upgraded with Ohlins innards (NIX 30 cartridge), and an Ohlins TTX GP mono shock absorber works on the hindquarters. The Swedes also contribute a steering damper.

The Ryuyo is only allowed on the racetrack.

The front of the Ryuyo has a 125/80 R 17 Slick (Dunlop KR 109) tires, a 205/60 R 17 Slick (Dunlop KR 108) turns at the rear.

For the improved four-cylinder, Suzuki Italy specifies 212 hp at 12,900 rpm and 119 Nm torque at 10,300 rpm. The dry weight should be 168 kilograms. Shifting takes place via a six-speed gearbox with a blipper for both shifting directions. The on-board electronics also provide ten-level traction control, launch control and racing ABS.

The Suzuki GSX-R 1000 R Ryuyo can be ordered from November 10th on the Suzuki Italy website.
