Suzuki GSR 750 2015

Menus

Here it is, this famous GSR 750. Suzuki’s roadster in the mid-size streetfighters’ battle, those who were fed up with running out of torque with their 600 cm3. The Z 750 had paved the way, the Z 800 is pursuing the dynasty, the FZ8 retaliated, it was time for this GSR to join the brawl. The weapons are the same: a nasty mouth, a bad boy silhouette, an inverted fork and a 3/4 liter 4 cylinder. The latter stands out, however. The kawa is a derivative of the ancient mill of the ZX-9R, the Yam is derived from the R1, the Suz boiler comes from the sporty GSX-R 600. The little gixer had initially spun its mill on the 600 GSR – the 750 installed here is derived from it, with different ribs – larger bore and stroke. The power will be the same for everyone: 106 horsepower. The main attraction will of course be the ladle of additional torque, making this streetfighter a much fuller and more generous machine than the GSR 600 (which did not however lack in liveliness).

Suzuki split a perimeter frame with a non-removable rear loop. The swingarm constructed from square tubes is appallingly unremarkable while the inverted fork lacks adjustment (ah, the savings). Having said that, if all the suspensions are properly adjusted, there is already a lot of fun. A much more sex appeal is hidden behind an aggressive and successful fork crown, but the whole machine lacks the charisma to really stand out from its rivals. In terms of efficiency and approval, however, the GSR has no lesson to be learned. Its lively and powerful engine is very pleasant to use and its chassis stands the comparison. A nice shot from Suzuki.
