The GSX-R is not really a motorcycle like the others. At the utterance of his name, an immediate reaction is felt by any rider: a mixture of excitement, the smell of gum, slider that rubs and drool on the lips. And it’s been 25 years that it lasts. To celebrate, Suzuki is marketing a special and limited edition of the Gex 1000.

Less flashy, the color chosen may not satisfy purists, who would have preferred the legendary white-blue inseparable from Hammamatsu’s sports cars. No more jogging, make way for the clothes; one might say. The color is called Metallic Mat Titanium Silver and Pearl Mirage White color, a mixture of pearly white and bronze titanium. On the sides, a large R in gold letters tinted with relief; in the rearview mirror, a quarter of a century of performance. It’s the occaz to ennoble yourself a bit and get some gear on board. This big Gex is equipped with carbon parts (front and rear mudguards, clutch cover and alternator cover), a specific smoke screen, Yoshimura Evo 4 pots engraved 25th Anniversary, a golden R key and a numbered plate on the triple tree. We even find this commemoration on the thread of rims (laser engraved).

The GSX-R 1000 25th anniversary edition will be produced in 1000 copies worldwide – 300 are available for France. Inflation reaches 15,999 euros, engine of 185 horsepower and legends included.
