Modified frame, more punchy engine, improved suspensions, refined electronics … It is only in terms of the trim that the Suzuki RM-Z 250 has kept costs down. The 2013 version clearly focused on more efficiency under an almost unchanged dress.
Like its big brother 450, the, two and a half benefits from a series of engine upgrades, but much more here. In addition to its 3% lighter piston, the mono receives new camshafts, a new ignition, a new 5-speed gearbox coupled with a more precise selection, and its more powerful electronics are now better isolated in a completely sealed compartment. This formidable MX2 machine is also equipped with a new radiator whose fins improve efficiency.
To meet new noise standards while maximizing torque, the exhaust manifold is 40mm longer.
Spring on the right, hydraulic on the left. The RM-Z 250 receives the new 48mm Showa SFF fork where the functions are separated by tube. The shock absorber does not change but adopts new settings to take into account changes in the engine and front axle.
In addition to revised stiffness, the frame is refined on the 2013 RM-Z, always with the aim of offering the best possible balance. For fans of the competition, the programming kit is easier to use and offers you the possibility of optimizing the maintenance of the machine.
