The roadster has the wind in its sails … Hypersports and other ultra-fast machines being in the crosshairs of the government, we are thinking more and more about a fun, easy machine, with watts everywhere. The SV 1000 N arrives at the right time and is accessible to the greatest number. Lower and lighter than the S, and much more manoeuvrable thanks to its raised handlebars, it is also compact. Its hourglass figure and mischievous look invite you to taste the road. Aesthetically, it’s a cut and paste of the 650; the only easily identifiable difference are the 2 exhaust pipes (1 on the 650). By lingering the eye to visually dissect the machine, we perceive the presence of a steering damper, the radiator and the swinging arm are more clumsy, and the engine … The excellent Suzuki V2 fits perfectly to this big roadster. It is still that of TLS but a bit reworked: it gains in ease what it loses in character. Always as torquey, efficient, and endowed with an enjoyable extension (11,000 revs), it is certainly within the reach of many but no longer has the rebellious side so pleasant of the first TLS. Add to that an exemplary flexibility which allows it to resume below 2000 trs on the last report … which will give way to a character all the same very present. To stay in the note, the chassis is easy and the machine is immediately taken in hand, helped by careful ergonomics. Once the suspensions are set onions, the SV 1000 transforms into a first-rate attacker.
Jostled and whipped, it remains safe and perfectly in line. Certainly, you will lose a little in comfort but the bike is then formidable of agility and efficiency. It looks like a big 650 SV as the machine is easy. You don’t have to be a pilot escaped from the paddock to take advantage of this imp. Powerful braking and a delicious gearbox allow you to concentrate on piloting or driving (depending on your mood) to lick or roam without a second thought. Don’t just see it as a machine born only to twirl around in the hairpins – Although it is like a fish in water, the SVN still has its pockets full of coins: its flexible engine and its sufficient turning radius. allow you to navigate with ease in the city – even the passenger is welcome but it will have to do with a high saddle and a little hard foam. In addition to its versatility and ease, the SV allows itself to display an attractive price … What are the people asking for? ?
