Ducati Panigale V4 SP

Another noble version of the super sports car

The Italian motorcycle manufacturer Ducati will continue to play on the Panigale V4 keyboard for model year 2021 and is launching a new premium version with the SP.

With the Ducati Panigale V4 there is still something going on. Also in the point of variants. For the 2021 model year, the Italians are expanding the Panigale V4 range to include the SP version. This rounds off the existing portfolio above the V4 and V4 S, but remains on this side of the V4 R and the Superleggera.

Many noble attachments

Nevertheless, the new Ducati Panigale V4 SP can partially use the Superleggera. The SP’s equipment includes lightweight carbon wheels as well as the MCS radial brake pump and Stylema-R brake calipers from Brembo. The dry clutch is hidden under a half-open carbon cover. In addition, the SP has carbon-fiber fairing winglets, a carbon front fender and other attachments made from the lightweight composite material. As with the V4 S Ohlins, the chassis components contribute. A semi-active damping and electronically adjustable NIX30 fork works at the front and a fully adjustable TTX36 damper at the rear.

Ducati

The driver’s feet rest on an aluminum footrest system milled from solid, which can be adjusted in five positions. The upper triple clamp, which has an extra serial number on the SP, is also carved out of the full block.

In total, the Italians are filing 1.4 kilograms of the Panigale. The scales stop at a dry weight of 173 kilograms. The aluminum tank, which is visible on the V4 R, sets a visual accent.

The engine remains untouched

In terms of engine performance, the SP does not stand out from the V4 brothers. The 1,103 cm³ V4, tuned to Euro 5, delivers an unchanged 214 hp and provides a maximum of 124 Nm torque. When it comes to the price, however, it can then really reach again. Ducati is asking for a whopping 35,990 euros for the matt black Panigale V4 SP. The buyer who pays this sum can then be pleased that he drives a Panigale in limited edition. Ducati does not reveal how big it is. There is also a race kit with appropriate attachments for the motorcycle.

Conclusion

Ducati knows how to get the last euro out of its customers. The Panigale V4 SP doesn’t really offer much more than the normal V4 models, but it costs a lot of money.
