Ian Hutchinson literally flew over the 2010 edition of the Tourist Trophy, the most famous motorcycle race organized on the road: winner in Superbike, Superstock, Supersport and Senior TT, the Honda rider won everything on the Isle of Man this weekend , a performance never before achieved since the creation of this competition really unlike any other in 1907 !
For his first participation in the premier category (Senior TT), Hutchinson managed to manage the pressure exerted by his fiercest opponents (Guy Martin, John McGuiness, Keith Amor and Conor Cummings) to finally win by completing the 60.75 km of the Isle of Man selective route at an average of 128.607 miles per hour … or 206.97 km / h !

The # 4 Honda CBR1000RR rider immediately took the lead at the start of this six-lap race, while Guy Martin was quickly forced to retire following a huge crash: luckily the 29-year-old rider got up. with "only" a few contusions to the lungs and minor fractures…
Due to the fire caused by Martin’s motorcycle, the race management organized a second start for a race reduced to four laps: Ian Hutchinson immediately took over the reins of the event ahead of McGuiness (15 TT wins), Cummins , Donald, Dunlop and Farquhar.
In turn, the various favorites of this 2010 edition were forced to retire: a true local legend, John McGuiness had to give way to Cummings who would make a big mistake shortly after. So leading the race with nearly 30 seconds in advance, Ian Hutchinson then proceeds "quietly" (if it is permissible to speak of a race where every mistake is paid for in cash!) Towards victory while Keith Amor , then second, is also forced to retire due to a technical problem.
By winning ahead of Ryan Farquhar (Kawasaki) and Bruce Anstey (Suzuki), Ian Hutchinson enters the legend of the Tourist Trophy with a victory in all five categories: this performance allows him to break the record of Phillip McCallen, author of four victories. in 1996 !
Note that the first non-Japanese motorcycle to shine at the TT (see general classification opposite) is Rico Penzkofer’s BMW S1000RR, which finishes the Senior TT race in twelfth position. Finally, Jenny Tinmouth receives the title of "Fastest Woman" thanks to her last lap executed at 119.945 miles per hour (193.03 km / h).
Invited by their sponsors to attend the races, MotoGP riders Jorge Lorenzo and Loris Capirossi – came with his Grand Prix Suzuki GSV-R on which Suzuki rider Cameron Donald climbed to 202 mph (325.1 km / h! ) in the Sulby Straight on an exhibition lap – expressed deep admiration for the speed and courage of the pilots taking part in this one of the most dangerous event in the world.
New Zealand driver Paul Dobbs was notably killed on Thursday during the Supersport TT race, victim of a fatal fall in Ballagarey.
