[Video] The new Triumph Tiger 900 soon in the spotlight

Triumph makes an appointment on December 3 at 8 p.m. to discover the two new versions of its mid-capacity trail, the Tiger 900 Rallye and GT. The increase in displacement will not be the only evolution for 2020: the Hinckley firm claims to have changed everything… Trailer.

"This is where it all starts," the singer hums on the latest video released by Triumph. In fact it is on the internet, Tuesday December 3, 2019 at 8 p.m. French time, that trail enthusiasts will discover the new models of the English brand: the Tiger 900 Rallye and GT…

First information therefore: the trail climbs in displacement in order to comply with the next Euro5 standards without losing performance, or even grabbing a few horses and Nm in the process. In any case, this is the trend followed by the maxitrails (R1250GS, Multistrada 1260) but also the Africa Twin … 1100 !

Second info that the Site retains: the clarification of the range with on the one hand an all-terrain oriented version clearly called "Rally", and on the other a more comfortable "GT" version, in line with the Tiger 1200 which serves of big road at Triumph. Much easier to remember than XCA, XRT, X-etc…

"Road capabilities, driving pleasure, looks and fun … are changing", warn the managers of the brand in France. "In off-road, on road, technologies, equipment, handling, performance, character… everything changes!"

 at the end of the summer, the Tigress actually appeared more aesthetically and mechanically sharpened. We can safely bet that electronics will also progress with the arrival in particular of an inertial unit and colorful and connected instrumentation … as on the Scrambler 1200 XE !

Other side of the coin: the progress of the Tiger 900 announced today by Triumph is likely to plummet its bill. However, the previous models were already evolving in the high price range in terms of trails: from 11,400 euros for the "simple" XR and minimum 15,300 euros for the "top of the range" XCA.
