Surreal, fantastic, crazy … The limits are crossed, exceeded, exploded! The new Triumph cruiser is a monster step in a world of rebels. Honda blew everyone away by cramming huge engines into these latest machines: 1,800 cc twin in the VTX and 1,800 cc 6 cylinder in the Goldwing. Triumph sweeps away these benchmarks. The new 3-cylinder English cube almost 2,300 cc. The figures announced are breathtaking: 142 hp and 20.3 mkg. The gearbox is not very fast but very precise. Sliding gently on the asphalt, we drive with joy, benefiting from a surprisingly balanced part-cycle. This will not be enough to exploit the full potential of the monster. As always with Triumph, we will refrain from comments on the rear brake. As for comfort, it deteriorates quickly on questionable ground. The rear suspension reacts sharply, much to the dismay of your vertebrae. Without counting on the fantastic times of this power-cruiser which literally tear your arms away.
The virolos are approaching; the Rocket does not deflate. Agile and precise, it follows the rhythm perfectly, and we have come to raise it seriously. Be careful, because the motorcycle tends to widen the trajectory and wiggle its behind. You did not have enough adrenaline … here is a little more.
Extravagant, sensational, enjoyable, the Rocket III is an undisputed success. Hinckley succeeded, by proposing a machine allowing to enjoy the cruising mode and to hold the dragee high to many sportswomen on a hot start. We take as much happiness in one as in the other game. Intended above all for America, the Englishwoman is already bourgeois with a very extensive catalog of options and accessories. The pilot will be in heaven, the passenger less. The essential is there: a machine child of excess, generating as much pleasure as intoxicating ardor.
