Triumph models for 2007
Triumph trains
The next triumphs in the field of model politics are emerging. So clear that they could be translated into meaningful views by draftsman Glynn Kerr, although the motorcycles did not appear until 2007.
triumph Tiger ?? a name that will soon stand for two quite different motorcycles. What the adjacent drawing shows is the ?? unfortunately very grainy ?? Photo of a driving test prototype copied and already very close to the final shape of the new tiger. However, it has little in common with the familiar appearance of this motorcycle. No longer plump, full of petrol with strongly arched tank sides and a broad, case-packed rear, but slim, slim and angularly styled, the new model stands on its wheels.
Which also have completely different dimensions than before. Instead of a 19-inch front wheel, a wide 17-inch model rotates between the bars of an upside-down fork, while the rear wheel is stately
Splurge 5.5 inch rim width, and both are supposed to wear adhesive road sport tires. This is probably the biggest difference between the picture shown here and the real new one
Tiger ?? Draftsman Glynn Kerr trusted Triumph
not to take such a radical step.
All signs point to driving-
dynamik, the Tiger should be a strong player in the field of sporty big supermoto / naked bikes. In addition to the choice of fork, which should also be properly tuned, the braking system with radially screwed four-piston calipers from Nissin speaks for this. It was not yet possible to find out whether the brake pump has a radially arranged piston or whether it corresponds to the conventional design. It is obvious that compared to the previous Tiger brake system with double-piston floating calipers, there is a massive upgrade.
The step from 955 to 1050 cubic-
centimeter displacement that the Sprint ST and
who demonstrated the Speed Triple, will understand the Tiger. But not the top performance of the Speed Triple, which is 130 hp. It will be a little less, as an otherwise extremely cautious Triumph employee was able to elicit. It is not yet certain whether the Tiger will end up with the 125 PS of the Sprint ST or even a little lower. For the moment it is enough to ascribe around 120 hp and a characteristic trimmed for more torque in the lower range.
Because of the rear section ending directly behind the seat and the powerful side silencer, pillion, touring and everyday suitability will probably suffer somewhat, so the departure from the previous concept of the Tiger is revealed
Just as clearly from the rear as from the forehead. Some may regret this departure, but it is consistent. Anyone who wants a tourer is certainly better off with the Sprint ST than
with the old tiger. And off-road capability hadn’t been very important to them.
Just as the Tigers decided to sharpen their corners, the Touring-Rocket also bluntly shows its concern: go on long journeys with a lot of relaxed energy and give your crew the greatest possible comfort. In contrast to the Tiger, the name of this project has not yet been determined; English journalist colleagues call it the Rocket Gold Wing, based on a legendary two-wheeled road cruiser. Which at least makes it clear that this is a luxury tourer based on the Rocket III, a project to which Triumph has been committed for a long time. But not any more. That is why the drawing of the Touring Rocket is based far more than the already clearly outlined Tiger on assumptions that, however, seem entirely plausible. The striking face of the steamer with the 2.3-liter three-cylinder continues the line started with the Trophy 1200 and resumed in the Sprint ST, emphasizing a tradition of Triumph tourers.
While the previous Rocket models are relatively slim towards the rear, the large tourer uses the space provided by the 1690 millimeter wheelbase for a spacious passenger and luggage transport structure. As with the Gold Wing, which they mainly do
the rank on American roads
should cruise off. But who knows? Also
in Germany celebrates the
Rocket greater successes than triumph
ever would have dreamed
to let.
