Triumph is taking the next step in redesigning the Street Triple family. The refreshed R version offers 118 hp for 9,450 euros.

The triumph S.treet Triple R is the third model in the Streety family to be refreshed. The new “R” gets an even more robust street fighter look, a more easy-turning and more powerful 765 cm³ triple according to Euro 5 homologation and numerous other improvements. But the R also declines, namely in terms of price. The new edition is a whopping 1,000 euros cheaper and costs only 9,450 euros plus 450 euros for ancillary costs. The new Street Triple R will be available from April 2020.

The makeover of the Triumph Street Triple R includes new colors and designs as well as a standard shift assistant for clutch-free gear changes in both directions. The face of the triple is characterized by new double LED headlights, around which the British have redesigned the bodwork. The flyscreen, air inlet, side panels and rear section were redesigned. The new rear-view mirrors should be more adjustable, the new colors – Sapphire Black and Matt Silver Ice – are combined with a red painted rear frame and red lines on the rims. In addition, the designs in Diablo Red and Aluminum Silver can be married. The offer of an R version with a reduced seat height (780 mm) has been adopted unchanged. The seat height is reduced by 45 mm by lowering it together with a modified seat bench.

Front brakes upgrade

The 765 cm³ three-cylinder was trimmed with less flywheel for more revving. The performance data remained unchanged at 118 hp and 77 Nm torque. The airbox and the exhaust system were also modified for the Euro 5. The revised gearbox, together with a torque-assisted anti-hopping clutch, should guarantee even smoother gear changes.

The front stoppers are now upgraded with Brembo M4.32 pliers and improved pads. The chassis is still fully adjustable, the pivot point has been slightly varied and Pirelli Diablo Rosso III tires are fitted as the first tires. The driving dynamics control systems include three driving modes, ABS and traction control.

Those who want even more individuality can choose from over 60 accessories for the R at Triumph.
