Triumph Thruxton R TFC (2019)
Sporty top model
Triumph enriches the Thruxton family with a sporty top model. The Thruxton R TFC is getting stronger, lighter and coming in early 2019.
Under the label “Triumph Factory Customs” (TFC), the British motorcycle manufacturer will in future be bringing special series refined ex works onto the market. The first TFC model is the Thruxton R TFC, of which only 750 copies are to be built. What the Triumph Thruxton R TFC will look like was already shown by Erlkonige and pictures from the dealer presentation in October F.acebook were leaked. Now the Thruxton R TFC is official.
10 hp up, 5 kilos down
The basis is of course the Triumph Thruxton R, which as a TFC model has increased in performance and decreased in weight. The increase in output is 10 hp, so the 1200 twin increases from 97 to 107 hp.

The TFC has already been presented to Triumph dealers.
The maximum torque is given as 115 Nm. A large part of it should be on the built-in titanium exhaust with carbon end caps from Vance & To be attributed to Hines.
The increase in performance is supplemented by a weight reduction of 5 kilograms. To do this, the British are installing various attachments made of carbon. The TFC has a half shell made of carbon, a front fender made of carbon and a hump cover and heel guards made of carbon. As a consequence, the passenger footrests have also been omitted.
Noble Ohlins spring elements
The front round LED headlight has also been redesigned. In addition, the spring elements from Ohlins are replaced by higher quality components from the same stable. The upper standard fork bridge is replaced by a milled part, as are the hand levers. In addition, Metzeler Racetec RR tires are fitted to the wire-spoke rims as standard for the fast chase.

Triumph would like to have 21,050 euros plus additional costs for the new TFC.
In the cockpit, the TFC has a plaque with the consecutive serial number and gold-decorated dials. There is also a special black paintwork with gold lines and a real leather bench with contrasting stitching. The three available driving modes have been retuned.
Every Thruxton TFC owner also receives a special TFC handover package that is individually tailored to their motorcycle. It includes a numbered letter signed by Triumph CEO Nick Bloor, a personalized manual and a Thruxton TFC motorcycle cover. The Triumph Thruxton R TFC is not a cheap pleasure, however. As a price for Germany, Triumph names 21,050 euros plus additional costs.
