Fabrice Auger in Mondial Supersport at Magny-Cours !
Brilliant fifth at the Bol d’Or with his AM Moto Racing Competition team, Fabrice Auger has just received the approval of the FIM to dive into the deep end of World Supersport with a wild card during the French round at Magny-Cours !
The beautiful human adventures around his passion for motorcycle racing, the pilot Fabrice Auger has already accumulated quite a few since his first 600 Promosport races in 2003! At 27, the native of Reims has a solid track record in the French sprint championship and especially multiple and remarkable participations in major World Endurance events (read in particular our).
Brilliant 5th place at the Bol d’Or 2009 with his team AM Moto Racing Competition (read), behind experienced teams such as SERT, GSR Kawasaki, team 18 of the Firefighters and the Swiss team RAC 41- City Bike), this admirer of the late Bruno Bonhuil knows that motorcycle racing is an uncompromising environment, where talent and desire are not always enough …
Luck, good contacts and solid budgets are also part of the winning equation for success, as Fabrice confirms: "I am extremely happy and proud of our performance with our team at Le Bol, especially as our bike prepared for the race had accumulated technical problems and we took the start with our mule … which we ensured point during the second qualifying session and the warm up !"
"Supreme recognition: just after the race, the International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) and the French Federation (FFM) confirmed to me that my request for a wild card for the World Supersport race at Magny-Cours (October 4, Editor’s note) has been accepted !", rejoices the founder of Marne Moto Sport, a young association which works for road safety with awareness days with the gendarmerie and training courses on the track (read).
Entered under the colors of Marne Moto Sport thanks to the support of his partners, Fabrice Auger will try to score "one or more points"during this French round of the Supersport Mondial at Magny-Cours, at the end of which he hopes to finish"between the 12th and 15th". Aware that the level of this category is extremely high, the rider has planned to have his Yamaha R6 French Championship (FSBK) prepared on the go to fully exploit this much desired participation in the" big leagues " !
"The Supersport World Championship, I’ve been dreaming about it for several seasons, but it requires a huge budgetary contribution and a crazy talent as the level is so high! This is why there was no question of embarking on this adventure with a "stock" motorcycle: my Yamaha will gain between 7 and 8 hp thanks to an engine preparation, we are going to fine-tune the electronics, but also the staging. out of the box to try to figure out! After two great races at Magny-Cours (8th) and Le Mans (9th), a few tenths behind the leading men’s lap, I apprehend this experience in World Supersport with confidence, but also, of course, with humility."…
Let’s wish this two-wheeler enthusiast – with or without an engine! – and other thrilling sports to make sparks on the Nivernais track within the elite of world speed … and perhaps to realize his dream: to run an entire season in WSSP !
"I know I won’t play for the win or the podium every weekend, but it’s an experience I would love to have, a kind of dedication", says Fabrice. And also the start of a new great adventure? To be continued … Stay connected !
