Presentation of the Superbike and Supersport riders: who will be the 2016 champion ?

On the list of drivers entered in WSBK 2016, 24 are registered in Superbike and 23 in Supersport. But there can only be one in each category … Will Rea and Sofuoglu keep their crown? ? Troop review.

In the Supersport category (600 cc 4-cylinder or 675 cc 3-cylinder motorcycles), Kenan Sofuoglu will participate in his ninth campaign and will aim for a fifth world title! The man with 104 races in WSSP, 23 pole positions, 26 lap records and 69 podiums including 31 victories still has his teeth…

Second in the WSSP championship last year, Patrick Jacobsen is the first American to win in Supersport (!). Like Kenan in 2014, "PJ" had to change teams during the 2015 season. Supervised by the strong Ten Kate team in 2016, can he reach the top of the hierarchy ?

In Aragon precisely – and in all the events organized on European soil – 11 drivers registered in the Superstock 600 category will join the 24 drivers of the Supersport. What seriously spice up the end of the race, when the leaders of the WSSP go back to the last of the STK 600 !

Site notes in the Superstock 600 list the presence of a French rider … and not just any one: Cedric Tangre, French Supersport champion 2015, who will ride on his GSX-R600 prepared by the Yohann Moto Sport team.

"I will have to learn most of the circuits, so it promises a season full of lessons.", observes the French number one, aware that in World Supersport"the level is very important and will allow me to progress enormously".

"The circuits being far, I will not be able to train on them between races, the objective is therefore to place in the first 15 on the first races then to gradually approach the Top 10.
