At the turn of the year, the managing partner of Liqui Moly, Ernst Prost, sells his company shares to the Wurth Group. With the sale, Prost wants to secure the future of the lubricant manufacturer. Apart from the change of ownership in the background, nothing should change. Liqui Moly remains an independent company within the Wurth Group, Ernst Prost remains managing director and nothing changes for the 800 employees.

The Wurth Group, with over 70,000 employees and a turnover of 12.5 billion euros, much larger than the lubricant manufacturer, has been a silent partner in Liqui Moly for almost 20 years.

The Liqui Moly range includes around 4,000 items and ranges from engine oils and additives, greases and pastes to sprays and car care products to adhesives and sealants. Founded in 1957, Liqui Moly develops and produces exclusively in Germany. The company, managed by the owner Ernst Prost, sells its products in over 120 countries and achieved a turnover of 489 million euros in 2016.
