Tricycle becomes a sports tourer

In 2018, Yamaha surprised the motorcycle world with the Leaning Multi-Wheeler Niken. At the EICMA in Milan, the Japanese are now pushing a travel-oriented variant with the Niken GT.

As a GT version, the Niken particularly appeal to touring riders. In order to be able to cope with the touring requirements even better, Yamaha has increased the equipment accordingly.

With suitcases and comfort features

The suitcases should each swallow 25 liters of luggage.

The higher windshield of the Yamaha Niken GT is intended to effectively protect the driver’s upper body from wind and weather, while the specially developed comfort seat increases the sporty touring experience for the driver and front passenger. The 25 liter ABS semi-soft side cases create space for luggage. Passenger handles are integrated on the rear of the carrier frame for additional convenience.

Other tour features include heated handles with a temperature display in the cockpit, an additional 12V socket for connecting various devices or for charging, as well as a main stand. The drive technology with the 115 hp three-cylinder has not changed compared to the basic version.
