The idea of introducing a supermotard to the French market based on the new XTR 660 was a bright idea for Yamaha. You might as well take advantage of it and continue on this right path. This is how the XTX 125 appears, a true copy of the great XT. Armed with 17 “wheels and insignificant weight, this new toy will turn many teens on.. The XTX is the supermotardized version of the XT 125 R. It takes back most of its components but has brakes, a front suspension, specific wheels and tires. With the DTX and the WR X, there is now a good choice of supermotards among the Yamaha 125s: from the wisest to the sportiest. This XT is cleaner than the DT but marks the step in terms of engine fishing, especially as the DTX can gain horses. The WR X, more elistist and more spirited, charges its services. The XTX keeps a nice asset to itself, namely a look strongly inspired by the big 660.
