Ducati riders believe they are competitive at Silverstone
Jorge Lorenzo and Andrea Dovizioso, respectively third and fourth in the provisional behind Marquez and Rossi, have little doubt about the Ducati’s competitiveness at the British GP this weekend.
Jorge Lorenzo, third in the provisional with 130 points, recalls that "this third GP in August follows my victory in Austria, which was probably the most difficult race of the season because we continued to make significant progress throughout the weekend".

"I think we are working well and can be competitive on all circuits," warns Marquez’s future teammate at HRC. “Silverstone is a track that I really enjoy and have fond memories of, but there is always the unknown of the weather this weekend. It will be an important element and naturally I would prefer a dry race, but Either way it’s always great to ride in England, a country with a great motorsport tradition and lots of fans ".
"I think we will also be very competitive at Silverstone", confirms his teammate Andrea Dovizioso, 4th by a small point (129). "Last year I won because I was able to race with excellent strategy, always being in the right position to aim for the victory, even though we were probably not the fastest on the track. The British circuit is demanding for many reasons: tire wear, the energy required (especially in the forearms) and the always fluctuating weather, so it is impossible to predict the result. In addition, you have to take into account the conditions of track and I hope that with the new coating they were able to remove the bumps from last year ".
The two Ducati officials toured Misano on August 19 for private testing ahead of the San Marino GP. Jorge Lorenzo completed a total of 72 laps on the San Marino circuit with a best time of 1’31.9, while Andrea Dovizioso completed 90 laps with a best time of 1’32.5.
