"First of all, I want to stress that it’s a real shame for Cal who was in great shape after his podium in Japan," said Stefan Bradl, wishing him a speedy recovery. "It’s a good opportunity for me," continues the HRC test pilot who finds the LCR team with whom he rode for three years from 2012 to 2014. "I still know a lot of people in the team and I thank the HRC and Lucio (Cecchinello, the team director, editor’s note) for reacting so quickly to this situation. We’ll see what we can do, I can’t wait to meet everyone again ".

For his part, Lucio Cecchinello specifies that "Cal’s injuries will be treated in a few weeks" and is delighted to find Stefan Bradl under the LCR colors: "we know his undeniable talent and we are happy to see him again in the box".

Cal Crutchlow had his fracture reduction performed by Dr Lazarus and the surgical team of Dr Edwards, who had operated on Dani Pedrosa’s right ankle several years ago. "The first aid which lasted 45 minutes was simply aimed at replacing the bone in the right place for the second operation which will take place Wednesday or Thursday," continues the team manager. Cal will then be able to return home to rest a few days before the Valencia GP, MotoGP 2018 season final.
