With the world premiere of the Concept Stunt G 310 at South America’s largest motorcycle show, BMW Motorrad presents a completely new approach: an uncompromising interpretation of a stunt motorcycle that is both aggressive and agile on the basis of of a single-cylinder prototype.

Chris Pfeiffer, thanks to his experience as a quadruple World and European stunt champion, has played an important role in the development of the BMW Concept Stunt G 310. “The stunt is a demanding and multifaceted sport. Ideally, it is a sport. You need a compact and agile motorcycle but at the same time stable and robust. You have to find the right compromise between aggressiveness and control “, explains Chris Pfeiffer..

Compact proportions, high-level agility.

The BMW Concept G 310 combines all these qualities and shows it very clearly at first glance: the unique single-cylinder engine allows extremely compact proportions thanks to its innovative architecture. The cylinder is tilted back and the cylinder head is rotated 180 °. This architecture allows optimal positioning of the engine in the chassis and a very short wheelbase despite a long rear swingarm in order to obtain maximum agility..
The lowered front axle and the raised rear part are the promise of a very dynamic piloting. With the intake positioned at the front and the exhaust at the rear of the engine, the silencer could be positioned in an unusual position under the saddle between the shock absorber and the engine. In this way, the exhaust silencer is optimally protected and does not interfere with the freedom of movement of the pilot. Even if the silencer is particularly discreet visually, the sound emitted by the BMW Concept Stunt G 310 will not leave anyone indifferent..

Emotional design in pure BMW Motorrad style.

The side view of the Concept Stunt is characterized by a three-dimensional design of the surfaces that unmistakably evoke power. Precise lines and expressive contours create a sense of movement and speed even when the motorcycle is stationary.
With that in mind, the side tank covers clearly accentuate this effect. All lines are turned towards the front wheel which highlights the agility of the BMW Concept Stunt G 310.
The front part of the BMW Concept G 310 is underlined by the broad shoulders drawn by the fuel tank covers. The very tapered rear part promises a very dynamic behavior.
The engine spoiler also accentuates this enhancement of the front axle..

Typical equipment for the stunt.

The many modifications are typical of a stunt bike and were made by Chris Pfeiffer in collaboration with the BMW Motorrad design team. Their simple goal was to create the best possible machine for an asphalt stunt rider. The lockable throttle grip ensures constant propulsion even when the pilot no longer has their right hand on the grip. In addition, the transmission staging has been adapted for optimum transmission of power to the rear wheel, while an oversized rear brake has been designed to ensure optimum deceleration in all situations. A second brake caliper acts on the rear disc. This is controlled by a master cylinder positioned on the handlebars, which allows the rider to use the rear brake even when his right foot is no longer on the footrest in certain figures. The lever of this master cylinder is placed on the same side as the clutch lever so that it can be used simultaneously if necessary..
The footrests located on the front wheel axle and at the level of the saddle are positioned to give the rider additional support to the rider during spectacular figures.

The red painted tubular protection of the engine is also typical equipment of a stunt motorcycle. Finally, the BMW Concept Stunt G 310 includes new equipment: a “stunt rail” at the rear which has been specially developed by BMW Motorrad. This machined aluminum rear section is wide open in its center for the rider to place their foot in. Combined with the non-slip saddle, this rear section allows the rider a stable position thanks to its specially designed shape.

Resolutely modern colors and design.

The colors of the BMW Concept G 310 use the classic base of BMW Motorrad Motorsport white as well as blue and red in combination with the colors of the Brazilian flag in a modern interpretation.
Neon green and yellow are sure to catch the eye. Light colors stretch the dynamic lines of the fairing. The heart of the motorcycle, the powertrain, is treated with dark colors, which visually lowers the center of gravity even further..
Edgar Heinrich, BMW Motorrad Design Director, concludes: “The BMW Concept G 310 is eye-catching. Everything about this concept is a call to ride to defy the laws of gravity.”
