In EWC, Suzuki Endurance Racing Team lead with 10 points ahead of Team SRC Kawasaki France while 30 points are left for the winner in Germany, not to mention the bonuses awarded to the first five teams on the starting grid.
"The competition will be tough"
We therefore expect a fierce duel between these two official teams, which could be refereed by challengers such as the private team Wepol Racing, third in the general classification with Sheridan Morais, Daniel Webb and Michael Laverty..
"The competition will be tough, but we are determined to keep the lead in the championship," warns Vincent Philippe on the SERT No. 2 Suzuki with Etienne Masson and Gregg Black. "It was extremely hot (it changes us from Slovakia!) But the feeling with the bike is the same whatever the weather conditions", confirms Etienne Masson after a "very satisfactory" day of testing..
The YART Yamaha and the F.C.C. TSR Honda France, who are respectively 26 and 34 points behind the leader, will do their utmost to move up the rankings, as will Honda Endurance Racing and Bolliger Team Switzerland, 6th and 7th. Let us not forget either the VRD team Igol Pierret Experiences (5th in Slovakia) and the ERC-BMW Motorrad Endurance team, which will be keen to shine at home after having suffered three withdrawals in three races….
