2017 Superbike comparison: CBR1000RR, GSX-R1000R, YZF-R1, ZX-10R

The 2017 vintage of Japanese hypersport motorcycles is exceptional: the sharp Kawasaki ZX-10R and Yamaha R1 are in top form, while the Honda CBR1000RR and Suzuki GSX-R1000 have finally returned to sport and technology.. Site would like to warmly thank Franck Guittard, his son Erik and their team, who once again welcomed us with open arms to the Ecuyers circuit. Inaugurated in September 2007, this superb track is located next to Beuvardes (02), about 100 km north-east of Paris (A4 motorway).

Traced away from any built-up area, in the middle of a natural setting of 55 hectares, this FFM approved circuit is equipped with Alfano loops and transponders. The focus is on piloting throughout its 3.5 km (10 to 12 m wide) and its 3% vertical drop. Long turns with a lot of downforce, tight hairpins and angle changes, steep curves: everything comes together on this very physical track, especially on the handlebars of a 1000 cc !

The circuit also offers quality infrastructure and equipment: toilets, showers, changing rooms, large car park, large paddocks, compressor, food and drink vending machines. A gas station and a small supermarket located less than 15 km away allow you to "refuel" quickly.. 

Objectively unreasonable, therefore totally essential !

Thank you also to our accompanying riders present on this exceptional comparison: Yves and Thomas during the entire test (including in the traffic jams of the periphery by more than 30 ° C!) And Erik who kindly put on the leather at our request to bring its "real" pilot light.  

Finally, a last thank you … to the motorcycle manufacturers! Yes, thank you Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Yamaha – as well as to the other manufacturers of these fabulous fire pumps – for pursuing this exciting quest for always more, always better, always lighter and faster. !

Thank you for continuing to make us dream with your fabulous hypersportives, despite the drying up of their sales and the continuous hardening of the road repression which tends to their outright eradication. Thank you also for daring to brave the never happy and the piss-cold, for whom your motorcycles have no – or no longer – their place in our society because they would be unusable, unusable, and patati et patata… 

Your sports bikes, constructors, have always been and will remain – for a long time to come, we hope! – toys that are objectively unreasonable, therefore totally indispensable. This is why MNC is particularly proud to have brought together these "four sacred monsters", because this year 2017 is a superb vintage! It deserved a big "big up" to the attention of their brilliant designers, no ?!
