Piaggio MP3 Yourban 300 LT test: the ideal compromise ?
The latest addition to the MP3 family, the Yourban 300 LT incorporates all the attributes that have made Piaggio three-wheeled scooters so successful, but with a good pinch of sex appeal and maneuverability. Concluding? Test.
The ideal compromise ?
Available this week in Cosmo black, Ibis red and Orion gray, Pearl white and Ice gray, the MP3 Yourban 300 LT is not strictly speaking a "new" model but the version with wider tracks (Large Tread, LT) of the Yourban 300 that Site tried in February (read our).
As a reminder, the spacing of the two wheels at the front is increased from 420 to 465 mm on the MP3 "LT", which allows them to enter the category of "tricycles with engines over 50 cc". .and thus become accessible to holders of a simple B permit! A perfectly legal "trick" on which Piaggio has built much of its phenomenal success: launched in 2006, the MP3 has just passed the milestone of 100,000 units produced. !
And it is to the recent Yourban that falls the heavy task of continuing to feed this windfall: not content with having already attracted 17% of customers who had never owned two-wheelers thanks to MP3 (!), Piaggio aims now to seduce women and young people with this new range with less "mastoc" lines.
