All Tests - DN-01, Deauville and Transalp tests: one engine, three interpretations! - One engine and three motorcycles in the Vosges ...

On the occasion of a pleasant trip through the Vosges, Site went to rediscover the charms of three Honda equipped with the same 680 cc twin-cylinder engine: the futuristic DN-01, the classic Deauville and the adventurer Transalp… Testing !

One engine and three motorcycles in the Vosges…

Sebastien Pernel (Honda France communications manager), at the origin of this 1,100 km journey (in a day and a half!) From Paris to Colmar via Gerardmer and the Vosges passes, is smiling at the top of the famous Col du Fellow : "it feels good to take a breather and hit the road for pure pleasure after a winter spent looking for solutions to the crisis !"

Especially when we have the chance to lead the way with the remarkably versatile 800 VRF V-TEC while our small group in Deauville (read our), Transalp (read our) and DN-01 (read our) spit in the gloves to keep pace with the sport-road diva signed Honda !

Not that these three motorcycles are struggling in the small virolos – although the DN-01 requires a minimum of anticipation – but the placid single ACT V-mill equipping our three mounts suffers from the comparison against the V4 of the VFR !

No resentment, however, we will forgive the Honda manager for not having "let go" his splendid white VFR: despite three radically different interpretations around a common engine architecture, the futuristic DN-01, the nice Deauville and the sparkling Transalp all got together. three proven to be perfectly suited to our round trip on different types of roads: motorways, national, departmental, regional (!), even motorable paths in some cases !
